CCR’s are a growing trend in the diving industry. Divers choose them for a variety of reasons, including availability of appropriate gasses, silent diving which does not disturb the wildlife, or simply because they appeal to the diver who is a bit of a technogeek. One such rebreather is the CCR2000 and here are some highlights from www.rebreather.com ;

  • A Fully closed circuit rebreather with decompression algorithms
  • Handles repetitive diving with closed or open circuit systems, including mixed gas and gas switching
  • Has log book upload capability
  • The breathing loop separates and is interchangeable, making it ideal for the traveling diver to bring the loop instead of the regulator to a growing number of dive resorts
  • CCR 2000 is already supported in Key Largo, Grand Cayman, Nassau Bahamas, England and Seattle, Washington
  • The CCR 2000 has been open water tested to 600 feet
  • The CCR 2000 has been dove on the Andrea Doria and on the HMS Britannic
  • For those interested in buying a rebreather then the CCR2000 may be worth a look.
